Projects

Here's just a small sampling of my favorite projects

  • Edwardian Winter

From the undergarments to the warm wool cape and velvet hat, this project took over six months to finish. Check out the whole playlist of videos!

  • The Autumn Sweater

Fall in love with the art nouveau and elf-inspired Autumn Sweater, featuring an elegant square handkerchief skirt, belt detail, and wide trim that give it a unique, timeless appeal. With a beautiful color scheme that evokes the image of autumn leaves swaying in the wind against a sunset sky, this stunning piece is a true work of art. Although the pattern uses only three main stitches, the complex curves and row structures create an intricately designed garment that took over 300 hours to complete. Made of double-strand fingering weight yarn, 75% Merino Superwash wool, and 25% nylon, this piece is machine washable and tumble-dryable without losing its luxurious feel. The pattern is now available on my Etsy store, and it's adaptable to many color combinations, allowing for endless creativity. This project is showcased as the first video on my YouTube channel!

  • The Fantastic Lace Blouse

The Fantastic Lace Blouse is a labor of love, meticulously created from a cherished collection of inherited laces. This unique piece blends various scalloped laces, bridging history and fantasy, ideal for reliving the Edwardian era or stepping into the whimsical world of an autumn forest. This project has no predefined paper pattern; instead, the lace itself guides the design, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind work of art.

  • The Edwardian Chemise

This lovely little project explored new drafting techniques. The result is an adorable and comfortable chemise: the perfect foundation garment for future historically-inspired outfits!

  • The 1860s Champagne Corset

I used a historical pattern as a base to draft a more complicated design, and I made it out of some absolutely beautiful fabric!

  • The Floral Chiffon Edwardian Blouse

While the process of making this shirtwaist was quite a struggle, I can’t help but love this airy chiffon blouse with the perfect Edwardian silhouette!

  • The 1860s Pink Corset

Based on the same design as the Champagne Corset, this new version is more fitted and dramatic. The subtle ink floral brocade is highlighted with carefully aligned pattern pieces and little bits of white lace.
